The story
From Harvey to the 21st District, and back home.
LaRoyce grew up in Harvey, Illinois, and won the state title in Original Comedy at Thornton High School before he could vote. He studied acting at Illinois State University on a full-tuition scholarship and landed his first major film role while still in college, as Art Baker in The Express: The Ernie Davis Story. In 2014 he joined Chicago P.D. as Kevin Atwater, a role that earned him an NAACP Image Award nomination and made him one of Chicago’s own on national television.
Thirteen seasons later he’s staying right here, building what comes next.
